Happy December! We had a great 1st week back. I will be posting information about our class holiday party later this week. But for now, we have a busy week ahead of us!!

This week, we have 2 field trips. On Tuesday, we will head to the fire safety village, students should wear their class t-shirt, pants, and sneakers. Students' lunches also need to be packed in a disposable bag on this day, no physical lunchboxes please.  Also, we will be outside for a good portion of the trip so they should wear a jacket. On Wednesday, we will head to the ballet. Students should dress up for the occasion. On both days, students may buy or bring a sacked lunch.

We are excited to announce our 3rd annual Barnes and Noble Night on Tuesday, December 5th 4:00-7:00 pm! Please join us for all the fun!
  • Teacher and administrator read-aloud’s (Mrs. Wardell reads at 4:45)
  • Gift wrapping by teachers
  • Chorus performance
  • Art show
Barnes and Noble will donate a percentage of the sales to our school! Please know that if you are unable to attend, you can still shop online with the Teasley Bookfair ID! See the flyer at the bottom of the post for more details!

At our class holiday party, we will be doing a book exchange. A note went home on Friday with the details. Please send in a new or gently-used age appropriate wrapped book to be swapped during our holiday party. Barnes and Noble night would be a great time to grab a book, get it wrapped, and support Teasley! Please email me if you have any questions or need any support. :)

From the attendance committee:
Extra! Extra! Read all about it! Coming to school every day on-time is a key ingredient to student success. Any student who has perfect attendance, (which means no excused or unexcused absences or tardies) through the end of the 2nd 9 weeks, Wednesday, December 20th, will receive recognition for their attendance. These students will receive a free dress down day, a special treat, and a brag tag for their bookbags. Thank you for your support in getting your student to school every day!

Thank you so much for another great week! Thank you for all of your hard work with Tiger Trot! We still have a few more days to raise funds, so please continue to share. Wardell's Warriors showed great teamwork and perseverance and I am so very proud of them!! Please remember, we have no school all of next week (November 20-24), enjoy the week celebrating Thanksgiving and spending time with those you are most thankful for!

Some of the girls in our class are getting into the holiday spirit of giving and would like to get the entire 2nd grade involved. Our class is going to fill 2 Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes.

Operation Christmas Child collects shoeboxes filled with gifts and delivers them to children in need around the world.  Every one of these boxes is an opportunity to show love and kindness.  Please help us fill 2 shoeboxes, one for a girl and one for a boy, with small items such as toys, dress up items, sports toys, school supplies and anything else that  you think a 5 year old to 9 year old would enjoy!  Please no liquids or food!  Please send in your items by this Friday, November 17th.

The science fair is coming. Below you will find some information from Ms. Kraftshick and Mrs. Dawson. Please see all information below if you and your student are interested in participating!
