I hope everyone has a nice short week! What a crazy time with Hurricane Irma. Much of our material from this week will be carried over into next week due to the shortened week. Terrific Thursday folders will be coming home on Thursday. Also, we have a spirit night at Willy's from 5-8 on Tuesday. I am hoping to be there with my family right around 5! Hope to see you there. Just a reminder that we have fall break next week! Enjoy time together. Please make sure that your child is reading EVERY DAY, even during the break. Also, please mark your calendar and stay tuned for more information regarding conference week which is coming up October 16th-20th.

- Describe the overall structure of a story using beginning, middle, and end. The beginning introduces the characters, setting, and the start of the problem. The middle has the events that lead to solving the problem. The end provides the solution and shows how the character changes or responds.
- You can have your student write a short 2 sentences about the beginnig, the middle, and the end for extra practice.

- Number talks will focus on skip counting
- We will start money this week. Please show your students pennies, nickles, and dimes and practice skip counting using their values.
