Happy New Year! I am so excited to get back to school and start the new year! We are starting our new Interdisciplinary Theme this week. We will be studying How We Organize Ourselves through learning about resources and the colonies. In math, we will be starting perimeter and reviewing area.

January 9- Dress Down for students with perfect attendance in the 2nd quarter!
January 15- ASP Open House
January 18- Performing Arts Day/ Dress Down for $1
January 21- No School
January 22- Spirit Night @ Murph’s
January 25- International Night

Central Idea: Available resources and motivations of communities determines economics.
Learner Profile Traits- Principled, Balanced, Thinkers
Lines of Inquiry:
Math: 3.MD.8 Perimeter- Students will determine perimeter of plane figures.
**Extra practice- Math Workbook pages 753-764 **
Writing: W.3.10- Opinion Writing- Reflecting on previous goals and creating new opinion writing goals. Students will start the writing process for an opinion essay.
