Last week information came home regarding our Thanksgiving Feast. Our class will have the pleasure of feasting on Thursday, November 16th at 12:40pm. If you are planning on attending, please be sure to send the reservation form back in by Wednesday, November 8th so that our cafeteria can plan accordingly! Thanks :) Tiger Trot fundraising has kicked off! Our goal is for our team, Wardell's Warriors to have 100% class participation. You should have received your pledge packets last week. Please be sure to register students and share with loved ones. Students will be running on Friday, November 10th. We are really hoping to raise the funds we need for a new field! This Thursday, November 2nd, 2nd grade will be participating in a specials Veteran's Day performance. Students have been working with Mrs. Mungin to prepare. Please have all students to our classroom by 5:45 pm to prepare for a 6:30 start to the performance. Students should wear red, white, and blue attire. Our fabulous 2nd Graders will entertain us with song, dance and spoken word as we honor those who have served our country. All are welcome to attend our celebration November 2nd at 6:30 in the Teasley Gym. We would love to recognize moms, dads, grandparents, aunts and uncles, neighbors and family friends who have served in any branch of the military at our program. If you know of anyone who would be a great honoree, please have them to sign up using the Google Link below. We are hoping for a great turn out. As Hispanic Heritage Month draws to a close, we celebrated yesterday by making pinatas and enjoying a delicious nacho bar. Thank you so much to all of our volunteers and for the donations. We are so thankful for you! Here is a peek at some of our fun!

Attention Families Going home today is a fun, fall, family project. Students have been asked to create a Pumpkin Book Report. Students may choose any book and create a pumpkin based off of one of the characters. Pumpkins should be small enough for students to carry and decorated but not carved. Pumpkins and book reports will be due on Tuesday, October 31st and will be shared as a part of our Halloween celebration. Students have a copy of their book report and instructions in their take home folders but they are attached below as well. Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions.
